Job description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists Saw Operator in a safe manner according to Cornerstone Building Brands rules and regulationsShould have exemplarily attendance recordShould be able to communicate in the English language Observes material for dimensional and other quality issuesAssists Saw Operator with visual and gauge quality checks per work orderMoves material from walking tables to metal conveyorIs proficient in the use of a tape measureAssists Saw Operator with cut length measurements at required frequency to ensure that material is cut at correct lengthIs proficient in basic mathematical skillsPlaces scrap into proper containerFollows Saw Operator instructions for proper safety procedures (placement of hands, ergonomics, etc.)Wears proper PPE at all timesEnsures that material is placed into baskets in neat and orderly fashion per recipe or special care instructionsEnsures that load bars and cardboard strips are used properlyAssists Saw Operator to ensure that baskets are not overloadedMay at times be required to assist at Stretcher Operator Station or other work stationsPerforms 5S and housekeeping duties at required frequency Qualifications Ability to measure lengths accurately to 1/32” Ability to lift 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waistAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsAble to convert fractions to decimalsAbility to read and interpret common statistical data, productivity reports, and written instructionsCapable of using computerized equipmentWill require standing, walking and working on concrete surfaces for long periods of timeAbility to move carts in and out of production areas Additional information
