**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description** As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for observing all prescribed or standard safety rules and regulations. You will work from assigned schedules and work orders, making decisions as the sequence of setups and processes within recognized methods and procedures. You will obtain work instructions and follow prescribed procedures to set or monitor a limited number of barrel augur, extruder, and related forming/winding controls, such as pressure, speed, tension, and heat. **Responsibilities** + Move, position nip rollers, rewind shafts, and razor cut devices as required for proper operation. + Arrange scrap recovery rolls or cart in proper feed manner. + Operate equipment or monitor continuing operations to maintain proper flow of raw and scrap film material and forming, cutting, and rewind operations. + Remove completed work and make simple tolerance and/or measurement checks required. + Occasionally perform or assist with fairly complicated setup, other machine or related equipment repair, or maintenance duties as instructed. + Detect and report defective, contaminated material, unusual conditions, or faulty equipment to proper supervision. + Set up extrusion lines, perform extrusion/die head changes, monitor all line controls & make proper adjustments, and check dimensions/quality of product. **Essential Skills** + Manufacturing experience or previous machine operating experience is required. + Technical knowledge of extrusion is preferred. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Mechanical aptitude. + Ability to read a ruler. + Basic computer skills. + Demonstrates organizational skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with extrusion, plastic, troubleshooting, blow molding, blow mold machine, molding machine, machine operation, and machine setup. + Knowledge of production and mechanical processes. **Why Work Here?** We offer a quarterly bonus of up to 5%.
