Extrusion Process Technician

Position Summary

Responsible for developing and testing solutions to solve technical problems in Extrusion process’s.  This position will assist the Extrusion Process Engineer in developing validated Extrusion processes. Conducts testing and troubleshooting on internal and external complaints to identify root cause. Assist in the development of protocols and reports to perform validation and qualification testing on Extrusion machines including downstream equipment.  Work with statistical programs to perform analysis on processes.

Duties Monitors and correct efficiencies of processes Perform die changes and set-up's for production, including changing tools when required Trouble shoots process, machine issues and repairs/correct findings Support DOE's validations when required Ensure accuracy, completeness, and updates all related documentation Ensure proper safety and company policies/guidelines Ensure schedule attainment, cycle times monitoring and OEE daily tracking Responsible of good documentation practices adherence and compliance audits Specify and recommend improvement to the tooling/die design to enhance manufacturing capabilities Participate in Lean and Continuous improvement events Perform preventive maintenance on tanks and extruder machines Perform all other duties assigned Education Degree High School Diploma or GEDRequired Experience 1-3 years experience working in a manufacturing  1-3 years experience working in extrusion setup, process development and troubleshooting preferred 1-3 years experience with equipment maintenance for extrusion machine, auxiliary and automated equipment preferred 1-3 years experience with forklift and pallet jack.
