EY focuses on high-ethical standards and integrity among its employees and expects all candidates to demonstrate these qualities. **Location:** New York **Innovation Foundry – Venture Strategist (Manager)** The Foundry is a New York-based team of entrepreneurs, product managers, operators, and strategists who have a proven track record of turning ideas into successful new growth businesses, including EY TaxChat and EY Navigate. In April 2016, EY acquired this team out of Highnote Foundry, a venture capital and venture services firm, in order to build and launch new businesses for EY Americas Tax. EY Americas Tax is a leader in corporate tax services, includes EY Law and EY People Advisory Services, and is aggressively pursuing innovation to define the tax function of the future for the world’s largest multi-national corporations. The Foundry currently has a portfolio of projects in various stages of development, that address all these key areas through FinTech, LegalTech and HRTech solutions. **The opportunity** As a Venture Strategist Manager, you will work with senior Foundry team members to evaluate, develop and commercialize new growth offerings. **Your key responsibilities** Your work will span all phases of new venture development. You will be responsible for framing problems, breaking them down into component parts, and evaluating each methodically and thoroughly. Initially, you will conduct primary and secondary research, opportunity sizing, and develop business cases in support of new opportunities. As ventures develop, you will move them through idea development, solution design, product strategy and proof-of-concept development. As growth opportunities are prioritized and funded, you will play a key role in building and bringing these businesses to market, including driving business development pipeline and ensuring operations scale with growth. **Skills and attributes for success** + A creative, resourceful, and results-oriented problem solver + A methodical and logical thinker with strong attention to detail and quality + Highly motivated and able to execute independently with input and guidance along the way + Interest in technology trends and business models + Experience in early-stage business building (corporate or start-up) + Flexible to work across projects and project types depending on business needs + Strive to exceed expectations and consistently deliver meaningful results **To qualify for the role you must have** + Undergraduate and/or graduate degree from a top tier university + 6+ years of professional experience + Ideally a blend of management consulting or corporate strategy experience and new product development or operational experience within a technology/software business (corporate or start-up) + Ability to structure problems, conduct analyses, and articulate recommendations + Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment + Impeccable oral, written, numeric and visual communication and presentation skills + Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word **What we look for** We’re interested in people who are ready to become a part of a highly engaged, diverse, and dynamic team to help us continue to make a real difference to our clients. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $127,100 to $233,000. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $152,500 to $264,800. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
