Summary

The F-16 Operations Scheduler is responsible for planning, coordinating, and maintaining the scheduling of F-16 flight operations. This role supports mission readiness by efficiently allocating resources, coordinating with maintenance and flight teams, and ensuring all scheduling meets operational standards and requirements. The scheduler plays a crucial role in enabling successful mission execution and pilot training by managing timelines, flight crew assignments, and resource availability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for F-16 flights, including mission flights, training exercises, and other operations, aligning with mission objectives and crew availability.Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure aircraft readiness and align schedules with maintenance requirements.Track crew qualifications, mission requirements, and training standards to ensure all scheduled personnel meet the necessary criteria for specific flights.Monitor and adjust schedules to accommodate changes in mission requirements, crew availability, and maintenance updates.Maintain accurate scheduling records and databases, ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational standards.Collaborate closely with flight operations teams to communicate schedule changes, ensuring all personnel are informed of updates in a timely manner.Generate and distribute scheduling reports, providing insights and updates on crew readiness, mission scheduling, and training status.Assist in planning for special missions, high-priority operations, and training activities by allocating resources and ensuring schedule feasibility.Conduct regular briefings with operations, maintenance, and command teams to review schedule progress, address conflicts, and align on mission priorities.All other duties as assigned.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearance.In order to obtain a secret clearance, qualified candidates must have US Citizenship.Ability to pass physical screening requirements

Education and/or Experience

High School diplomaMinimum of 2 years of experience in aviation scheduling, preferably within military or F-16 flight operations.Familiarity with F-16 aircraft operational requirements, mission planning standards, and crew readiness criteria.Proficiency with scheduling software and military planning systems, with experience in tracking crew qualifications and mission compliance.Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with cross-functional teams.Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards in military flight operations.USAF 7 level in aircraft maintenance


Work Conditions
Position is located OCONUS and in an austere environment; work is being performed on the flight line, limited hangar or aviation field environment.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift and parts, tooling and other awkward items sometimes weighing greater than 50 lbs, including up and down stairs.Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday.Must be able to see and hear, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
