F-16 Plans & Scheduling Lead

PENDING CONTRACT AWARD

Summary

The OCONUS Plans and Scheduling (PS) Lead will routinely collaborate with the CONUS PS Lead to manage the overall PS of aerospace vehicle maintenance and utilization requirements to support depot activities. The OCONUS PS Lead will collaborate with the PS team to develop plans and establish production schedules to meet depot induction and delivery requirements. The OCONUS PS Lead will determine maintenance capabilities and capacities to aid in developing depot induction and delivery schedules. The OCONUS PS Lead will collect on-site data from other PS personnel to assist the CONUS PS lead in weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual status reports preparation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assists CONUS PS lead in managing coordination and organization efforts to ensure support is available to meet aircraft induction and delivery schedulesEnsures the Maintenance manager, Production Office, and Senior Site Management are advised of maintenance capabilities, limiting production factors, and adherence to depot schedulesOverseas the scheduling of maintenance jobs and helps establish work priorities and monitors how completion times affect current scheduleOperates maintenance information systems (MIS), automated maintenance equipment records, and other automated systems to schedule and monitor maintenance activities and workload to support F-16 depot effortsReviews maintenance analysis actions affecting aircraft schedule and material supportability; provides recommendations and guidance to ensure depot schedule is met Collaborates with the CONUS PS Lead to audit historical weapons systems and other program records to establish maintenance trends to improve scheduling effectiveness.Overseas the accurate documentation of aircraft engines, munitions, TCTO, time change items, and special inspections.Will work directly for the CONUS PS Lead and the Program Manager with other duties assigned at managers’ discretion.All other duties as assigned.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearance.In order to obtain a secret clearance, qualified candidates must have US Citizenship.Ability to pass physical screening requirements

Education and/or Experience
Required:

High School diploma15 plus years’ experience in aircraft maintenance fieldKnowledge and understanding of aircraft planning and scheduling related to depot activitiesKnowledge and understanding of maintenance activities applicable to program requirementsExperience with maintenance work card developmentExcellent oral and written communication skills.Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).

Preferred Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace field or Business Management15 plus years’ Aviation Maintenance experience in plans and scheduling10 plus years’ experience with relevant fleet type.3 plus years’ experience working government contract service.USAF 7 level in aircraft maintenanceFederal Aviation Administration Airframe and Power Plant License.Knowledge and understanding of aircraft maintenance information system [TRAX, CAMS, IMDS, ALICE, AADMIS, or equivalent]Through knowledge and understanding of applicable USG Maintenance Program.


Work Conditions
Position is located OCONUS and in an austere environment; work is being performed on the flight line, limited hangar or aviation field environment.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift and parts, tooling and other awkward items sometimes weighing greater than 50 lbs, including up and down stairs.Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday.Must be able to see and hear, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
