Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking an individual to lead the F-35 Fleet Readiness & Sustainment (FR&S) operating unit within the Air Dominance division. The leader will report to the Vice President, F-35 Program and will support profit & loss (P&L) execution of our growing portfolio, which includes Fleet Modification, Spares & Repairs, Product Support/Engineering Services and Support Equipment for 1000+ F-35 weapon systems operating around the globe today. This position will be in El Segundo, California.

The role is responsible for leading all phases of the FR&S program life cycle from inception (proposal development) through startup, execution, and completion (contract closeout). Primary responsibilities are the management of quality, cost, schedule, and technical performance of FR&S contracts, including but not limited to:
Leading and directing cross-functional Integrated Program Teams (IPT) to meet program quality, cost, schedule and technical performance objectivesDriving predictable program performance, including regular measurement and management of key performance metricsCultivating customer relationships and intimacy to develop further opportunities within the customer community to include our Prime Contractor, Lockheed Martin AeronauticsDeveloping new business opportunities through long term strategic planning, capture planning, and development of proposals and business plansOptimizing the FR&S operating unit to effectively addresses customer requirements, including influencing change in the necessary internal and external sub-organizationsDelivering presentations to customers, executive management and other program stakeholders Identifying, allocating and managing program resources, including workforce planning Participating in the negotiation of contracts, contract changes, specifications, operating budgets, schedule milestones, and key terms and conditionsDevelopment and adherence to program, business, and technical baselines, including use of tools such as Earned Value Management (EVM)Ensuring program team understands and adheres to contract scope, and manages change through appropriate change processes Conducting thorough risk & opportunity management practices including identification, mitigation and realizationDeveloping and managing suppliers to meet program objectivesAdherence to all internal processes, policies, and applicable industry standardsManaging government/customer supplied property or information (GFE, CFE, etc.)Basic Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor's degree and 10 years of related professional and/or military experience that includes a background in Defense Industry Business Development and/or Strategy, Program Management, Business Management, Global Supply Chain, and/or Contracts Management, OR a Master's degree and 8 years of related professional and/or military experience that includes a background in Defense Industry Business Development and/or Strategy, Program Management, Business Management, Global Supply Chain, and/or Contracts ManagementMust have 10 years' Leadership experience, either leading direct reports or integrated product teamsExperience leading a large, aircraft production or sustainment programThe ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance within a reasonable time as determined by the Company to meet its business needsPreferred Qualifications
STEM DegreeBusiness Development or program management/execution experience in one or more programs / captures including experience with Earned Value ManagementProven experience developing and sustaining customer relationshipsSecret clearanceStrong understanding of national strategy, military roles and missions, organization, enterprise process and business contactsMaster’s degree and advanced training in program management and capture managementSalary Range: $258,600.00 - $387,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
