F-35 Quality Engineer, Senior (Level 3)

Description:This position will report to the Quality Manager of F-35 Delivery Operations with responsibility for supporting F-35 Product-Quality activities to support the following build areas: Aircraft Finishing Facility (AFF), Acceptance Test Facility (ATF), Fuel Test Facility (FTF), Ground Operations, Flight Operations (including the Debrief process), DD-250 (artifact collection and aircraft preparation stage for sale to USG), and Ferry (delivery to customers around the Globe).

Specific responsibilities include:

Provide timely, responsive, and exceptional Quality Engineering capabilities to support Delivery Operations activities throughout the entire build process spanning multiple Production Directorates.

Will be expected to build and maintain professional working relationships with teams across the F-35 program including Production, DCMA, Program Management, Finance, HR, Engineering, Production Planning & Control (PP&C) and Q&MS colleagues.

Identify and pursue opportunities for process and product improvement across build areas.

Provide support for Action Requests (AR) from field customers, participate in Corrective Action Request (CAR) activities, and lead Quality Assurance Record (QAR) functions that address product nonconformances, Lost Tools and FOD incidents. Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

- Experience working with root cause and corrective action (RCCA)

- In depth understanding of statistical and data analytic skills

- Ability to interpret drawings and specifications for development of quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for inspection and test of manufactured products.

- An understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

- Understanding in AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
Desired Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal skills needed for collaboration, communication, and executive-level presentations.

- Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt Trained and/or Certified.

- Experience with Product-Quality methods either from the quality or manufacturing perspective.

- F-35 production operations experience.

- Experience with Microsoft Office Systems, ALIS/DOMMS, Shop Floor Manager (SFM) or similar manufacturing management systems, Product Data Management (PDM) or similar engineering database, Quality Assurance Documentation System (QADS) or similar system.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
