Our mission\-driven approach and unwavering dedication to excellence ensure that we continue to deliver superior products and solutions to our customers around the world\. **THE WORK** Position Assignment: This position is an F\-35 Training Operations Manager \(TOM\) located in Italy, supporting the Italian MoD at Amendola AB and will assist with start up operations at Ghedi AB\. The selected candidate will manage the daily activities of the Training Operations team for the F\-35 Program\. Supports military pilot flight procedures in maintaining qualification levels using the Full Mission Simulators and Mission Rehearsal Trainers by executing the approved pilot training syllabi, upgrade, and tactics training\. Primary duties include: • Building, coordinating and executing the CIP TDY personnel scheduled and daily management all TDY personnel \(CIPs/SMEs\)\. This will include the logistical coordination for VARs, base access and badging, SOU\-U/SOU\-C access, lodging and site integration\. • Daily coordination with ITAF/ITN to merge training priorities into a coherent, executable schedule to support all customer needs\. Note: Utilization rate is expected to nearly double with this course add, significantly complicating our level of support to the customer\. • Daily coordination with ITAF/ITN scheduling, training and standardization/evaluation shops to ensure proper training flow and execution of the B\-Model course, to include syllabus adherence, ensure prerequisites are met, instructor availability and grade sheet completion\. • Assist the development of the program on\-site, to include courseware and IT equipment arrival and integration, and acquisition of instructional documents for our CIPs\. • Oversee B\-Model course preparation, to include building the entire set of Scenario Generation missions for the B\-Model CAT\-I syllabus\. Also ensuring briefing guides and other instructional materials are converted to Italian standards for use by our CIPs\. • Direct B\-Model course support by running additional Sim missions on the console \(IOS\), and flying Sims as a formation member, when needed, to provide appropriate number of formation members, per syllabus requirements\. Additional duties: Prepare training and upgrade missions for customer\. Acts as a subject matter expert by applying advanced technical concepts in the area of aviation and provides assistance in creation of training material\. Assists in the preparation of schedules, maintenance of training records and ensures that course standards, training requirements, and objectives are met by each student\. Evaluates and monitors students’ performance\. This position is typically represented by an experienced pilot\. The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the Lockheed Martin team at dedicated training sites to fulfill F\-35 training and continuation training objectives\. The successful candidate will implement and support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs and policies, as directed\. Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance and Special Access Program \(SAP\) access\. F\-35 Fast Facts **Basic Qualifications:** • Candidate must have Active Secret Clearance with final clearance adjudication within the last five years\. • Candidate must be able to qualify, obtain and maintain Special Access Program \(SAP\) access\. • Candidate must have in\-depth knowledge of fourth and/or fifth generation aircraft systems, operational experience with advanced sensor systems such as Night Vision devices, EO/IR targeting systems, Helmet Mounted Cuing, and the latest air to\-surface and air\-to\-air weapons inventory\. • Candidate must have prior experience in delivering military pilot academics and simulator training and be familiar with current instructional techniques and delivery methods\. • Candidate must have worked in an environment which required them to interact with multiple functional areas and personnel of a diverse nature\. • Candidate must have outstanding interpersonal skills, excellent leadership traits, strong oral & written communication abilities, solid ability to organize, and a high desire to provide customer satisfaction\. • Must be willing to travel CONUS and OCONUS for an extended period of time\. • Use of Microsoft Office products \(Word, PowerPoint and Excel\) is required\. **Desired Skills:** • Current or demonstrated experience as an USAF/USN/USMC IP with multi\-role fighter experience\. • Former Weapon School, Top Gun, or MAWTS graduate desired\. • Fifth generation Full Mission Simulator \(FMS\) experience as an operator and/or instructor\. • F\-35 flight experience is highly desired\. • 1000 hours Fighter Flight Time in fourth and/or fifth generation multi\-role fighter aircraft\. • Experience interfacing with senior\-ranking military customer representatives\. • Experience with F\-35 pilot training curriculum\. • Former military flight instructor qualifications\. **Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\. **Clearance Level:** Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years **Other Important Information You Should Know** **Expression of Interest:** By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match\.
