Job Description

 

JOB TITLE:              Food & Beverage Coordinator

 

DEPARTMENT:      Food and Beverage

           

SUPERVISOR:         Director of Outlets

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Provide coverage in all areas of the F&B Outlets within the hotel including Milwaukee Chophouse, Miller Time Pub & Grill, Café, Monarch Lounge, In Room Dining (IRD) and Starbucks. This includes coordination and execution in conjunction with Culinary, Stewarding, and Storeroom departments. Responsible for the dissemination of any information regarding groups as related and impacting the F&B outlets turned over from the Director of Outlets.

 

Assists in the development of Outlet associates. Works to achieve department goals and metrics to maintain and/or improve the reputation/ranking of outlets. Will operate in compliance with Company standards of quality, specification, and employee relations.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

1.     Provide effective coverage for all the food and beverage outlets within the hotel. 

2.     When needed will control purchases of direct expenses as dictated by the budget and adjusting with forecast throughout the year.

3.     May assist with guest responses in his/her area and establishes action plans to improve service levels.

4.     Ensure adequate coverage within the Food and Beverage department to include weekends, weekdays, evenings and holidays.

5.     Responsible for implementing service standards with department/outlet heads.

6.     Attend meetings when necessary:  F & B, and Staff.

7.     Attend any pre-convention meetings for groups in the hotel and summarize, as needed, the expected impact to each of the respective outlets.

8.     Perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

 

MANDATORY JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

1.     Work closely with Director of Outlets in the performance of all Food and Beverage areas.

2.     Provide effective coverage for all the food and beverage outlets within the hotel.

3.     Assist with the development of associates by providing instruction, training and feedback.

4.     Assist with the development, implementation and execution of F&B promotions.

5.     Ensure guest satisfaction by delivering hospitable service and ensuring proper problem resolution when needed.

 

 

ACCOUNTABILITY:

 

1.   Ensure guest satisfaction by timely follow up correspondence including but not limited to hotel feedback and online platforms.

2.     Adhere and support hotel and corporate policy and procedures. 

3.     Maintain accurate administrative files.

4.     Report to work when scheduled.

5.     Keep abreast of current market trends.

6.     Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor and image of self and hotel.

7.     Support and monitor cleanliness and safety within each outlet.

8.     Be sales and profit minded.

 

 

EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING REQUIRED:

1.     Able to use Microsoft Word and Excel, Super-user for Hotel POS system, Open Table, and any other relevant IT platforms.

2.     Strong multiple project management skills.

3.     Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

4.     Ability to read, write and speak the English language fluently to interact with clients.

5.     Ability to work under time pressures and extensive hours.

6.     At least three years previous Food and Beverage experience at a property of similar size.

 

 

LICENSE OF CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

1.     Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school

2.     College degree preferred.
