The F135 Lighting Sustainment Center Team seeks an F135 on-site Operations Center Senior Manager at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH, facility.

As part of the F135 Sustainment Organization, the Lightning Sustainment Center & ALGS Operations Centers are responsible for ensuring 24/7 F-35 fleet supportability of the propulsion system and Integration with all disciplines of the F135 value stream. You will be the PW manager for F135 fleet management and sustainment concerns supporting the warfighter by leading the Operations Center and Field Operations Support teams located at Wright Patterson AFB and Fort Worth, TX. You will utilize and work with the East Hartford based staff and Field Service personnel around the globe for fleet status, propulsion issue tracking and closure.

This role includes direct senior level customer interaction with the Lightning Support Team (LST), Joint Program Office (JPO), JPO Lightning Sustainment Center (LSC) leadership and Lockheed Martin PSIC and Propulsion leads

The successful candidate will coordinate F135 sustainment system performance Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements, maintenance procedures, and system trends experienced in the field. Primary responsibilities will include providing direct support to fleet aircraft resolving Aircraft on Ground (AOG) technical and logistics issues. Analyze processes to improve organization performance results and response times.

The candidate will address sustainment improvement initiatives at a systems level, analyzing impacts on the propulsion system performance and conducting lower-level root cause analysis where appropriate to determine actionable solution sets. The candidate will maintain open lines of communication to provide a proactive interface with stakeholders on performance metric reporting. The candidate will be a self-starter, manage time appropriately, and coordinate a library of technical performance reporting.

What You Will Do:

Supervise Fleet Readiness employees that support fleet operations 24/7Support Fleet Metrics Analyst with supporting data for daily fleet drivers to non-Mission capable rate adjudication and propulsion status of all NMC aircraft is communicated to PW leadership acting as main conduit of emerging data and issues to/from the F135 Lightning Sustainment Center as well as the Joint Program OfficeCoordinate process execution with several functional departments across the value stream including customer service engineering, global service engineering, support equipment operations, operational bases, material management, and engine managementSupport Internal/External: daily meetings, reviews, and status calls while integrating responses with the F135 Fleet Management Center and AR CenterAssist the PW Fort Worth Action Request Analysts for AR/DR/MERLIN coordination and responses

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, logistics or management disciplines, and 8+ Years of experience in fleet management/readiness support; OR an advanced degree and 5+ years of experience in fleet management/readiness supportUS Citizenship required due to government contractsThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

Advanced degree, MBA, engineering, or logistics disciplinesExcellent presentation skills, project management, proficiency in fleet sustainment processes, and strong leadership skills are essentialFamiliar with F135 propulsion system, 5+ years working in F135/F-35 programYou will have experience in, and be comfortable with, working in a high pressure, fast-paced environment

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
