The role

Join ATP's CFI Academy to help prepare professional applicants for their flight instructor certificates. A two-week, comprehensive ground school–delivered by dedicated ground instructors–compliments flight training by ATP's senior instructor group.

As a 2-Year (14 CFR 61.195) Flight Instructor, you will receive applicants for final ground and flight training, including one spin training flight, and endorsement for the practical test.

Responsibilities

Follow approved training curriculum and ensure students are trained to the highest standardsMaintain student records and keep Training Support informed of student progressConduct airplane spin trainingConduct airplane flight maneuver training and endorsements for the initial CFI certificateRequires some weekend flights

Qualifications

Required to hold a Certified Flight Instructor Certificate that complies with 14 CFR Part 61.195 (h) 2-Year CFICFII PreferredMeI PreferredExperience in the PA-28-181, CE-172R/S and PA-44 preferredAble to evaluate subjects related to Single-Engine and Instrument ratingsAble to conduct spin training in approved aircraftExcellent teaching and communication skills required
