In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting aircraft and components, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. This is an opportunity to work on large and mid-size aircraft while making a direct impact on aviation safety. **Location:** Van Nuys, CA **Schedule:** 4th Shift Weekend Days **Job Type:** Full-time, Consultant **Your Role & Impact** **As a Senior Airworthiness Inspector, you will:** + Perform quality control inspections on aircraft and components within the Repair Station. + Inspect aircraft, engine, and component repairs and alterations to ensure FAA compliance. + Review and audit maintenance documentation for accuracy before aircraft return to service. + Maintain precise and detailed records of all inspections and aircraft status. + Mentor technicians on proper documentation and quality standards. + Research and monitor inspection programs, Airworthiness Directives, and Service Bulletins. + Support FAA certification processes and, if required, participate in flight tests. **What You Need** **Required Qualifications:** + High school diploma or GED. + Six or more years of aircraft/component inspection experience, including three or more years on large or mid-size aircraft. + Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License. + Proficiency in FAA regulations, forms, and certification approval processes. + Strong blueprint reading and interpretation of maintenance manuals. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. + Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word (20 WPM typing speed). + **Must have experience with:** Landing gear, flight control, and/or engine expertise, and troubleshooting experience **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience with FAA ODA functions. + Familiarity with Repair Station and Quality Control Manuals. **Why Join Us?** + Work on advanced aircraft and ensure airworthiness for cutting-edge aerospace projects. + Collaborate with experienced professionals dedicated to aviation safety. + Gain career growth opportunities in FAA certification processes and mentorship roles. + Earn competitive compensation of $46.43 per hour in a high-impact, technical role.
