Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a FAB Machine Operator Assistant to join our team at the Arden, NC site.

The hourly rate for this position is $19.50 per hour.

The core hours are 5am-3:30pm.

The FAB Machine Operator will aid in our materials management processes by auditing racks throughout facility for lost Kanban cards, stock-outs, and other materials issues that could lead to inaccurate system counts. This individual will work with our planning groups to correct any discrepancies between our system counts and the material quantities actually on the shelf.

Job Responsibilities
A. Observe all safety rules and hygiene regulations 
B. Receive work assignments, oral or written instructions from Supervisor
C. Complete manual labor associated with machine operations such as breakout, stacking, packing, loading/unloading, sanding, grinding, cleaning and other duties required to prepare parts for the customer.
E. Maintain tools, equipment, and materials for continuous operation
F. Perform necessary operator maintenance on machining and fabrication equipment
G. Report abnormal situations and submit maintenance work orders to maintain equipment
H Perform TPM and 5S+ responsibilities daily

Required (Basic) Qualifications: 

•    High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution is required. 
•    Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future. 
•    No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Arden, NC facility. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. 
Preferred Qualifications: 
•    Machining Certificate
•    Previous experience in Fabrication
•    DMM experience

•    Able to lift 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead
•    Able to read tape measure
•    Proven history of safe work habits and good attendance*
•    Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision
•    Computer skills – Microsoft Office, Internet (JOE), etc.
•    Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends
