Fabrication Manager

GENERAL SUMMARY
Lead fabrication team “open work environment that stick to our values, showing our winning attitude and having fun while we recognizes, rewards, promotes and coach our people to develop their competencies and skills at all levels of the organization”, in order to successfully fabricate quality products (strong, standard, esthetic) delivered on time a well-being cultures across BRP.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
• Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electromechanical, Industrial or Mechatronic)
• Experience 5 years or more

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS
• Leadership Competencies.
• Bilingual.
• Fabrication manufacturing skills.
• Robotics, PLC’s, Programation Skills.
• Welding Knowledge (TIG-MIG for aluminum, stainless steel and steel).
• NPD processes.
• Make or buy analysis.
• Budget and forecast.
• Heath and safety culture knowledge.

MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:
• Responsible to continuously seek for new products (Growth) introduction at fabrication, as well as new platforms and model year introductions.
• Create, sustain, implement and communicate strategies, tactics and operational plans in accordance with the company vision and mission and aligned with the strategic team and R&D.
• Improve procedures and processes in support of the organization goals.
• Responsible for day to day housekeeping, operations and administrative topics.
• Ensure all necessary plant, welding equipment, automated & test equipment’s are maintained in a current operable and calibrated condition.
• Show leadership and commitment to the QMS and customer focus, promote continuous improvement.
• Establish, implement, maintain and improve the QMS, provide all necessary resources to maintain and support the QMS.
• Human Resources Leadership
• Assist in recruitment and placement of required direct labor; ensure people are adequately trained or qualified to maintain a high level of skills in fabrication processes (welding, prefabrication).
• Hire, guide, coach, motivate, monitor and evaluate performance in the team in partnership with Human Resources.
• Build and strength relationships across the different BRP sites
• Establishment of organizational structure.
• Financial Management
• Direct and indirect labor budget accuracy and attainment.
• Improve minutes per vehicle.
• Participate in compliance with the QMS (Quality Management System) determined for their role in relation to the standard ISO9001: 2015.
• Comply with safety rules according to the function.
• Comply in time planned trainings related to Quality and Training.
• Identify and report any quality and compliance issues and support corrective actions.
