This vital role involves overseeing production processes, ensuring safety and efficiency, and fostering continuous improvement. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
+ Leadership experience in fabrication and welding environments.
+ Hands-on knowledge of MIG/TIG processes, material handling, machine tool programming (G-codes), structural steel and sheet metal layout, forming, punching, surface preparation, and general safety requirements in a fabrication/welding shop.
+ Strong understanding of weld symbols, 2D prints, tooling specifications, and production processes.
+ At least 2 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, including assigning tasks, ensuring safety, and meeting production goals.
+ Effective communication and problem-solving skills to address issues affecting production schedules and team efficiency.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
+ Supervise production operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.
+ Develop, coordinate, and communicate production schedules to meet internal goals and customer expectations.
+ Ensure employees are trained in safety and job-specific requirements.
+ Monitor and manage resources, ensuring materials and supplies are readily available for uninterrupted production.
+ Hold daily and weekly team meetings to discuss project expectations, safety, training, and process improvements.
+ Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and streamline workflows.
+ Maintain accurate documentation of production, weld tests, and project status.
+ Serve as the point person for resolving issues raised by support staff and other departments.
+ Report job status and concerns during RAIL meetings and weekly updates.
