In this role, you will play a key part in the installation and finishing of aircraft interiors, working with a variety of materials such as fiberglass, plastic, and composites. **Job Title:** Fabrication Specialist - Aircraft Interior **Job Type:** Full-time; Consultant (12 months) **Location:** North Charleston, SC 29418 **Schedule:** Monday to Friday **Shifts:** Must be willing and able to work any shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) based on business needs **Key responsibilities include:** + Installing, fitting, and adjusting aircraft interiors, including decorative elements. + Performing decorative interior repairs in the aircraft cabin using various methods (e.g., painting, sweep and fill). + Working with materials like fiberglass, plastic, and composites to meet specifications. + Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and work instructions to select appropriate parts, tools, and materials. + Cleaning, preparing, and masking surfaces for rework and repair. + Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and adherence to project timelines. **Qualifications:** + **3+ years of aerospace experience** working with decorative finishes, especially on aircraft interior systems (e.g., galleys, lavatories, stowage, seating, etc.). + **3+ years of experience** reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and work instructions in English. + Proven ability to work with a variety of materials, including experience in **file, sand, paint, decorative laminate ("declam"), and cosmetic rework** (e.g., paint color match, surface texture match). + **Experience in aircraft interior modification** design and/or analysis. **Preferred Skills:** + Advanced technical skills in **reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, materials processes, schematics, and diagrams** . + Familiarity with the entire aircraft assembly process, particularly related to **cabin systems** and **interior modifications** . + Ability to perform precision work in high-pressure environments while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
