Fabrication Specialist I

This role is responsible for fabricating, wiring, troubleshooting, analyzing and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment.

What You Will Do:

Work with plastic (PVC, CPVC, PVDF), carbon and stainless steel piping and sheet goods to assemble interconnecting piping between vessels, pumps, and valves

Fabricate and assemble equipment based on mechanical drawingsRoute and terminate wires based on electrical drawingsOperate industrial machining equipment such as a drill press, threader, cutters, sanders/grinders, and various types of sawsUse overhead crane and safe rigging and maneuvering of loads in support of the various equipment assembly and preparation for shipment activitiesOperate a forklift and pallet jackOther duties as assigned

Position Details:

Plant location: Glenwood, ILWork week and shift: Monday - Friday 6:00AM-2:30PM

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or GEDAble to read and interpret basic mechanical and electrical drawingsProficient with hand/power tools and basic size/weight measuring devicesBasic computer skills (examples: data entry, Internet/e-mail, etc.)No Immigration Sponsorship available for this opportunity

 

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift/carry 50lbsAble to work in a shop environment (dust, noise, odors)Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Skilled trade degree or certificationAble to wire simple circuitry and perform point-to-point terminations Excellent communication skillsAble to work independentlyPrevious forklift operating experience
