As a Fabrication Technician, you will be working with special purpose equipment, conventional numerical control (NC) machines with a focus on sheet metal fabrication, injection molding & anodization of metallic and nonmetallic parts.
A Fabrication Technician you are responsible for:
Setting up and operating special purpose equipment and conventional numerical control (NC) machines with a focus on sheet metal fabrication, injection molding & anodization of metallic and nonmetallic parts that hold to the high-quality machine standards required within the organizationReading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirementsStarting and observing machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusting machine controls as requiredSelecting, aligning, and securing holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mold machines, press brakes, punches, & robotic spot welders

To be successful in this role you will:
Have working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD & T)Have the ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometryHave the ability to calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control mediaHave a High School Diploma or equivalent
