Wastequip has an immediate opportunity for a Fabricator to support our Salisbury, NC manufacturing operation.   Our ideal candidate will have the skills and experience necessary to fabricate steel parts and tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Selects, positions, and aligns machine to properly functions. Uses grinder or die grinder to remove burrs. Adjusts fabrication machine as necessary. Lays out or details layout on fabricated piece from prints or templates. Positions work piece manually or with hoist to align with machine. Starts & deactivates machine. Continually checks work to verify dimensions of fabricated product for accuracy. Checks fabrication run and counts to verify completion or in process of shop order. Uses data collection terminal to accurately input shop order into the system. Ability to weld a variety of steel materials from mild carbon to high strength material.  Place parts in jigs and/or fixtures and assemble as noted on technical prints or instructions. Assemble parts in various assembly areas, utilizing a variety of locating methods from jigs / fixtures to tape measure and layout marks.  Lays out, positions, and tack weld work pieces.    Uses proper PPE. Uses fork truck or push cart to deliver product to desired location. Other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or GED One to three months of related experience and/or training preferred.
