We are seeking a skilled fabricator and welder to join our team.   This position will support safety, quality, production, 5s, new equipment installation, and various other activities.  There will be a wide range of opportunities to show craftsmanship and skill.  

Essential duties and responsibilities

Fabricate moderately complex parts and equipmentWeld and build tables, guarding, brackets, and various other support equipmentMust be able to read and create mechanical drawings as neededUse calipers and other precision measuring equipmentSelf-motivated to get assigned work completedMust be willing to modify or replace previous work performedMust be willing to install or reinstall finished workWill need to maintain inventory of materials needed to perform any given taskParticipate in problem solving and continuous improvement activitiesKeep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment. Follow all safety policies and procedures, utilize all PPE.Ability to weld both steel and aluminumWillingness to work weekends as necessary

Experience

Proven experience in metal fabrication and welding preferredMust have at least 2 plus years of welding experienceMust have experience using conventional machining equipmentAbility to do maintenance on shop equipmentExperience welding aluminum a plusExperience with electrical and electrical controls a plusWill need to pass a welding testVery rarely will need to be able to work in confined spaces
