Job Title: Fabricator - 1st Shift!

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our team. In this role, you will be fabricating and assembling large-scale custom conveyor systems, performing MIG welding, and custom fabrication on machinery. You will also be responsible for layout, mounting various pieces for assembly, adjusting machinery to scale, drilling and tapping holes, mounting brackets, mounting photo eyes, and building machinery. The welding will primarily be on mild steel and some aluminum, ranging from 3G (1/2 inch) plate steel to some 11G (1/8 inch) steel. The role also involves reading blueprints, gathering materials, lifting up to 50lbs, and general shop clean-up.

As a union facility, you will be hired in after 60 days and join the Local 33 Sheet Metal Workers, with dues at $37 a month. Our health care plan is affordable at only $19 a week, and we offer weekly pay. Vacation time is accrued quarterly, starting with 8 days in the first year, increasing to 10 days in the second year, 15 days in the third year, and 20 days in the fourth year. Unused vacation days are paid out at the end of each year. We also offer a 401K plan after 6 months and annual bonuses based on company profits.

Work Environment

We specialize in the custom fabrication and building of conveyor lines and systems for various industries, with a strong focus on the Bottling, Food, and Paper industries. The position is a direct hire role with working hours from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with the option to start as early as 5 AM and stay as late as 4:30 PM. This is a union shop, and you will join the Local 33 Sheet Metal Workers after 60 days. Attendance is crucial, with a policy allowing 5 off days in a rolling 12-month period before termination on the 6th call-off.

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $52000.00
