Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and safety-conscious Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate various sheet metal machines, work from complex drawings and specifications, and use precision instruments to ensure accuracy. This role involves working closely with other team members and maintaining a clean work area.
ResponsibilitiesPerform all duties with an emphasis on safety.Operate sheet metal machines including brakes, lasers, deburring machines, shears, notches, and turret punching machines.Receive work orders and prints, and perform shop calculations and math as necessary.Work from complex drawings, prints, templates, and specifications.Use a variety of machines, hand tools, and measuring instruments to cut and form pieces to required dimensions.Perform highly diversified work involving close tolerances and a basic understanding of blank sizes and bend allowances.Use precision measuring instruments to check for accuracy.Monitor machines at all times for proper operation.Work with close supervision in coordination with other team members and departments.Keep work area clean and orderly.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsProficiency in operating sheet metal machines such as brakes, lasers, deburring machines, shears, notches, and turret punching machines.Experience in machine operation and press brake operation.Knowledge of shop mathematics.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during the shift.High degree of attention, mental alertness, and care to prevent injury to self and others when operating machines.Additional Skills & QualificationsCapability to fabricate sheet metal parts using various machines.Experience with setup and machine operation.Basic understanding of blank sizes and bend allowances.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This is a job shop with a small team of 15 people. The facility is climate controlled, extremely clean, and equipped with new machinery. We offer great 401(k) plans and benefits upon permanent employment.

This is a Contract position based out of Wilson, North Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
