Facilitator 8/20/24Part Time--Bronx #### Job ID: 006816 #### Description: Whitney Young Jr Campus (1919 Prospect Ave) $15 - $25 / Hour **Position Summary:**Children’s Aid (CA) After School in Action Program at IS 318, funded by OST (Out of School Time) is an after school enrichment program operating Monday through Friday, from 2:00pm to 5:30pm. The program offers tutorial help for students with their homework, additional educational instruction, and the opportunity to engage in an array of enriching sports and art based activities. **Essential Duties:** * Supervision and care of (up to) 20 children, which comprise a group or club. * Modeling and demonstrates positive characteristics and traits of a good leader that participants can learn from. * Supervise and provide guidance to on the day to day activities. * Provide individual and group tutoring in areas such as**reading, writing, mathematics, and study skills**. * Develop classroom and behavioral management skills. * Implement professionally developed literacy-based curriculum. * Build relationships with children and their families. * Plan and lead the implementation of special projects in and out of program. * Produce lesson plans, teach, supervise, and organize games. * Assists in activities or tasks necessary to ensure an orderly operation of the program. * Supervise children during meals (lunch and dinner) * Ensure equipment is properly signed out and that all equipment is properly cleaned and returned. * Attend regular staff meetings, trainings and work cooperatively with other staff members in the program and in the schools. **Minimum Qualifications:** * At least one year of experience working with children, tutoring, or teaching. **Key Competencies:** * Available from September 1stthrough June 21, 2024. * Expected to be punctual, responsible, have a positive attitude and provide encouragement to children. * Pursing an Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree #### Requirements: Job Type Part Time Location --Bronx ###
