Position Summary:

The person in this position will be responsible for implementing a comprehensive trauma-informed care curriculum. This role involves evaluation of the program’s effectiveness and providing guidance for changes/improvement.  Coordinating with staff and external partners to ensure that the program effectively addresses the needs of individuals served. The Facilitator will lead efforts to create a safe, supportive, and rehabilitative environment.

Essential Job Functions:

Complete RTWI trauma-informed care curriculum training to include instruction of HeartMath ™ or approved resiliency building researched based program within 6 months of hire. Conduct comprehensive trauma assessments for incarcerated individuals. Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing trauma-informed approaches. Facilitate support groups and educational workshops focused on trauma recovery and coping strategies. Provide ongoing support and consultation to staff to ensure the integration of trauma-informed practices into daily operations. Ensure that all required policies and procedures of WestCare are carried out. Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation. Other relevant duties as assigned.
