Company Overview…
Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden (WBSL) is a purpose built, state-of-the-art film and television studio offering one of the largest facilities in the UK. This 200-acre secure site has half a million square feet of stage space, production offices and workshops together with an exterior filming tank, one of the largest indoor heated underwater filming tanks in Europe and a 100 acre back-lot. WBSL has some of the largest sound stages in the UK and is proving to be a very popular facility for production clients.
WB Leavesden Park, adjacent to the Studio, offers modern and flexible office space for Production Companies. The site also has its own, on-site Set Lighting & Rigging rental division, which provides the industry with state-of-the-art lighting equipment, scaffolding and production supplies for stage and location shoots. WB De Lane Lea based in Soho, London, provides state of the art facilities in audio post-production for feature films and television.
Set adjacent to the working film studios where all eight Harry Potter films were made, the Studio Tour offers visitors the unique opportunity to explore two soundstages and a backlot filled with original sets, animatronic creatures and breathtaking special effects.
Department Overview…
Our Projects Team handles a variety of construction projects in both size and value. Here's what we do:
Initial Planning: We start by understanding the project brief and discuss key requirements with stakeholders. Design and Budgeting: We create a design and set a budget and timeline for the project. Hiring Contractors: We get quotes from contractors and choose the best ones for the job. Contracts and Orders: We prepare contracts and place orders for the necessary work. Project Management: We oversee the work on-site, conduct regular inspections, and ensure everything is completed as planned. Final Handover: We make sure the project is ready for use by the end user.
Your New Role…
The Facilities Administrator Apprentice will contribute and support the planning and execution of projects on all areas of our Leavesden site - the Film Studios, Warner Bros. Studio Tour, The Making of Harry Potter and Leavesden Park. They will be responsible for all administrative tasks associated with the execution of construction projects including raising contracts and purchase orders, scheduling meetings and maintaining project documents and reports as well as administrative tasks associated with the efficient running of the Projects team. Due to the nature of our business the role can change and expand at short notice.
Your Role Accountabilities…
Communicating with WBSL departments and staff, stakeholders and contractors.Contributing to the planning, development, coordination and management of projects.Performing administrative tasks such as preparing invoices, raising purchase orders, scheduling meetings, maintaining financial spreadsheets, research, etc.Processing purchase orders for goods and services, ensuring that deliveries are received and any discrepancies on invoices are checked.Filing and maintaining records on all platforms.Assisting in stock management to ensure sufficient stock levels are maintained to prevent waiting for goods.Welcoming visitors and directing them as necessary; dealing with enquiries via the telephone, e-mail and other correspondence and referring on as appropriate.Responsible for access requirements and site induction for all visitors and contractors etc visiting site.Qualifications & Experience…
