Facilities and Operations Administrator

We are seeking a Facilities and Operations Administrator to manage and coordinate all facilities-related work requests for the Research and Exploratory Development Department. You'll be joining a hardworking team of business professionals committed to providing timely, reliable, and valuable business operations support and expertise to our customers. As a member of our team, you will collaborate with internal and external customers to play an active role in the overall support of our facility and capital projects. The key responsibilities of a Facilities and Operations Administrator: In partnership with the REDD Facilities Manager, oversee the intake, coordination, and overall tracking of all service requests and work orders submitted for REDD Facilities and drive toward timely solutions. Develop and implement processes to ensure timely status updates are made to REDD Leadership. Ensure that Tririga (Space Management Reporting) is accurate and up-to-date with the current staff locations, lab layouts, and structural modifications in order to support Lab Optimization efforts for REDD and APL. Serve as the REDD subject matter expert on Tririga and participate and engage with the lab-wide Tririga Working Group. Develop and analyze space management reporting and provide recommendations to the REDD Facilities Manager and REDD Leadership for optimizing lab and office space. Organize and manage all REDD capital project meetings, maintaining clear documentation of project timelines and key milestones. Oversee and facilitate the procurement of capital purchases, including the coordination of requisitions with the Central Procurement Group. During high-demand periods, support the REDD Procurement Team by processing purchase requests via a procurement card. Qualifications You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you... Possess a High School Diploma and 5+ years of relevant work experience. Are a highly detail-oriented person with outstanding organizational skills. Effectively work in a fast paced/high volume environment. Have demonstrated the ability to work on multiple tasks with varying complexity, independently, with little supervision. Have the ability to prioritize tasks, adjust quickly to changing priorities and the ability to accommodate time-critical tasking. Are consistently demonstrating independent judgment, interacting and communicating effectively with external vendors, technical staff, internal APL enterprise services, and line leadership. Possess strong interpersonal skills, written, and verbal communication skills, and an outstanding work ethic. Are flexible and able to anticipate administrative needs. Are proficient in the MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word). Are able to obtain a Secret level security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. The referenced pay range is based on JHU APL’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level with consideration for internal parity. For salaried employees scheduled to work less than 40 hours per week, annual salary will be prorated based on the number of hours worked. APL may offer bonuses or other forms of compensation per internal policy and/or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be provided in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, locality allowance or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
