FACILITIES AND SAFETY SUPPORT SPECIALIST
Summary You will serve as a Facilities and Safety Support Specialist for the MY NAVY CAREER CENTER. Responsibilities You will coordinate internal and external data calls to meet data and timeframe requirements. You will explain policies, guidelines, or procedures on matters pertaining to supplies, shipping, service requisitions, printing, or work requirements. You will develop ways to resolve problems to ensure program goals and objectives are achieved. You will coordinate information on work operations and materials in support of an occupational health program. You will verify the completion of work, repairs, or replacements of established workplace deficiencies. You will assist staff members with proofreading, proper formatting, and correction of documents. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Verifying work orders that have been completed and closing out as appropriate; 2) Serving as government purchasing card holder; 3) Contacting vendors to obtain quotes, compare pricing, verify availability of goods to promote cost effectiveness; 4) Maintaining accounts for stores, reports, on and disposes of surplus property through redistribution, transfer or destruction; 5) Evaluating compliance with applicable regulations and hazard classification systems. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree. OR Successfully completed two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree.
