Facilities and Warehouse Technician
JOB SUMMARY:  The Facilities/Warehouse Technician’s primary role is to provide work required in the areas of safety, security, maintenance, and fleet, emergency preparedness, warehousing, shipping and receiving, electronics testing and inventory control. Any other roles necessary to facilitate the department’s responsibilities are also required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS & KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: (include but are not limited to) Warehousing, shipping & receiving; inventory control and transport General facilities maintenance duties in various work locations, including building, lawn, and landscaping maintenance Performs duties associated with buildings, grounds, furniture maintenance and furniture moving Provides, as needed, vehicle maintenance and vehicle transportation to and from service vendors Electrical and mechanical maintenance and operations Maintains all Facilities/Warehouse Technician’s equipment On-call response for the Facilities Department Must comply with company safety rules and regulations at all times and report to supervision any situation in which personal safety and the safety of other employees or the general public is in danger of being compromised Provides prompt, courteous service to all internal and external customers Prioritizes and addresses customer needs and demands in a professional manner, providing follow-up and developing cooperative relationships Assists team members in completion of tasks and assignments to ensure continuity of service Orients new co-workers and actively support team development Identifies opportunities and recommends methods to improve work processes and financial performance Assists in design and implementation of quality improvement initiatives on departmental and organizational levels Meets deadlines while maintaining attention to detail Leads and/or participates in special projects Other duties as assigned
OTHER DUTIES, FUNCTIONS & KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: (include but are not limited to) Stores, secures, conducts electronic testing, and organizes materials and equipment Receives and unloads materials; inspects and matches materials to carrier bill of lading before accepting shipment Performs physical inventory or cycle counting as needed

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with procedures established by the company on the evaluation of management personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS & PREREQUISITES
LEVEL I - Required: High School or GED equivalency General computer skills Certified in the operation of forklifts Displays technical proficiency in MS Office applications Must have a valid driver’s license Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Must be able to manage multiple tasks Preferred: Vocational training/education or University/College educational background focused on a related fields or High school diploma or equivalent and five (5) or more years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience in telecommunications industry Working knowledge of warehousing, inventory control, shipping and receiving procedures Working knowledge of personal computer equipment utilizing inventory software Basic wiring training
LEVEL II – Required: High School or GED equivalency 1-3 Years of related experience General computer skills Certified in the operation of forklifts Displays technical proficiency in MS Office applications Must have a valid driver’s license Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Must be able to manage multiple tasks Preferred: Vocational training/education or University/College educational background focused on a related fields or High school diploma or equivalent and five (5) or more years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience in telecommunications industry Knowledge of warehousing, inventory control, shipping and receiving procedures Knowledge of personal computer equipment utilizing inventory software Basic wiring training
