Facilities & Aquatics Director Requisition Number 2024-7856 Overview

Under the guidance and direction of the Club Director, the Facilities & Aquatics Director is responsible for organizing, coordinating, managing, evaluating, and otherwise delivering a successful aquatics program.

Responsibilities Support membership satisfaction and retention through a clean, well-maintained facility and repair of equipmentRemain alert, proactive and responsive to day-to-day maintenance operations and issues across all facilities.Communicate maintenance issues and projects as needed that are of larger scope or scale to supervisor.Inspect facilities and grounds daily for risk management, repair and maintenance needs.Maintain Electronic Work Order SystemSupport the management of all outside contractors conducting maintenance projects within the facility. i.e., Plumbing, Electrical, etc. Ensure building identification practices are followed.Support the compliance of local, state and federal regulations with fire, health, and building as related to facilities and grounds.Promote and manage all facilities rentals & usage.Develop short-term and long-term plans, including weekly schedule of activities, for pool-related program and services.Develop and implement plans to generate revenue through pool rentals.Manage internal & external partnerships to maximize services and programs for all members of the community.Ensure proper staffing of all rentals, when needed.Track and monitor income & expenses and produce administrative reports and projections.  Embrace a culture of collaboration to provide the best experience possible for members of the community.Complete all administrative duties as assigned.Perform all other duties as assigned.Ensure safe operation of all aquatics-related activities.Condition of equipment and facilitiesHire, train, schedule and manage all aquatics staff. Qualifications Demonstrated success developing, managing, and promoting   aquatics (or related) programs for youth and adults, preferred.Experience supervising a team of employees preferred.Demonstrated knowledge of pool operations and maintenance (certification may be provided).Preferably Four-year degree in physical education or related field of study, from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of college and experience.Professional CPR and First Aid (including use of AED and Oxygen Administration), Jeff Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Trainer, Ellis Lifeguard Instructor Trainer, or willingness and ability to secure these course certifications within first 6 months.Certified Pool Operator license or willingness and ability to secure certification within first 12 months.

Physical Requirements:

Regularly speak clearly and hear the spoken word.Work predominantly performed indoors in aquatics center. Occasional meetings and events may take place in a variety of settings outside of the Club.Ability to withstand varying temperatures in the pool area, in particular a humid environment.Ability to lift 50 pounds.Provide rescue assistance to any patron in distress.Be comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities

 

Work Hours:  Monday -Friday 12:00pm-9:00pm. Flexibility required based upon business needs.
