Essential Responsibilities:

Responsible for assisting with the overall daily management of a designated shift that is responsible for general maintenance, installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems and water distribution. Supports, administers and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.Assist with creating effective and efficient schedules, while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives and achieving guest satisfaction.Responsible for assisting with the planning, execution and management of day-to-day operations of current and future Construction/Engineering Projects for the company properties in conjunction with the Design and Construction department to satisfy the needs of the property’s Facilities Manager.Assists with planning, directing, and coordinating activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters: Helps review project proposals or plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.Assist with managing grounds crew and maintenance of property grounds.Assist with coordinating operational changes to ensure the least amount of internal/external customer disruption.Responsible for assisting with ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.Ensures consistent high quality standards are maintained in areas of responsibility.Management accountability for all facilities team members for day-to-day and long-term operations to include training and developing employees, which includes coaching, mentoring and appropriate performance management up to and including separation.Responsible for ensuring optimal operations during all business hours.Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to the company and encourages others to do the sameThis job description is not intended to be all-inclusive and team members may also be asked to perform other reasonable related duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has supervisory responsibilities.

Responsible for staff development and training programs.Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement.Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees in regard to performance.Determines recommendation for staffing including interviewing and hiring and scheduling planning, assigning, and directing work to meet business needs. Determines work procedures and expedites workflow.Responsible for employee performance disciplining, coaching, counseling.

 

Education and/or Experience: Two years progressively more challenging experience in maintenance, engineering, marine operations and project management including team supervision; Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred, Journeyman’s card in skilled trade required. Experience managing people is preferred; Must have a working knowledge of Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC and Carpentry trades, along with knowledge of generators, fire pumps, and electrical switchgears; trade license is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

 

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of America money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.

 

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving history as determined by Penn National Gaming’s auto insurance carrier.
