Function (Scope and Main Purpose of Job)

Accountable for preventative maintenance of all Live! Casino and Hotel facilities, property, and equipment.

Specific Responsibilities and Duties

Responsible for general maintenance of all facilities of the Live! Casino property.Knowledge of the HVAC system, alarm system, and generators.Painting, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and other projects relating to maintenance of the property.Preventative maintenance as scheduled on all equipment.Responsible to ensure thorough the proper maintenance and repair of the Live! Casino facility the safety and security of all guests and team members.Responsible for maintaining, repairing, and replacing gaming table layouts.Operate all types of hand tools, power tools, and machinery that relate to the function of a maintenance shop. Chemicals used in maintenance. Ladders, bucket truck, forklift, and safety equipment.Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude. Complete knowledge of all facilities and entertainment available to guest.Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Job Requirements (skills, knowledge, and abilities) 

Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions.Ability to use all necessary tools and equipment to perform maintenance functions.Answer all calls promptly and maintain politeness; pay attention to the needs of team members and guests at all times.Knowledge of OSHA required standards and safety requirements.Knowledge of personal protective equipment.Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment.

 Educational Requirements

A. High school diploma or equivalent. Some technical school training and certification is preferredTwo (2) plus years’ experience in maintenance in a commercial facility. Valid driver’s license may be necessary.Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid non-gaming license as determined by the State Gaming Agency for the position.

Working Conditions

24/7 high energy casino with over 100,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 500 employeesExposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.You will work in an environment where smoking is allowed.All facilities on property. Some confined areas. Exposed to hot and cold temperatures consistent with the changing seasons. Varied weather conditions, fumes, and chemicals used in maintenance.
