We’re looking for an amazing Facilities Caretaker Technician to join our team, which is based at our Mckinley Princess Lodge location. You will be a part of the team that maintains the overall workings of the hotel property, ensuring the facilities are clean and in good operating condition. You will provide reliability, dependability, and a positive attitude in a diverse environment as you support multiple departments, ensuring the safest and most enjoyable experience for our guests and team members alike. Caretakers will be required to respond to after-hours business and/or emergency needsthree (3) nights per work week to ensure that all facilities on property are protected and remain operational.

**_Responsibilities:_**
+ Performs preventative maintenance and responds to after hour business emergencies including: building systems, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and control systems, and related components; tests system competency and component devices and evaluates performance.
+ Repairs and maintains a variety of facilities systems, components, and structures; repairs building plumbing, low-voltage, and line voltage electric systems, door hardware, fire and life safety protection equipment/systems, sprinkler systems, sensors and related hardware and software.
+ Constructs and maintains indoor/outdoor facilities, fans, lights, etc., conducts structural inspections for safety.
+ Performs service and preventative maintenance on small, motorized equipment engines and carts including: induction and air handling units, completing filter changes, lubricates, maintains, and services mechanical and refrigeration and/or cooling systems.
+ Identifies projects requiring the assistance of contractors or vendors; participates in documenting challenges that require contractor repairs; monitors work of vendors or contractors.
+ Conducts recordkeeping techniques and regulations, including use of automated record systems, OSHA workplace health and safety standards and procedures.
+ Responsible for paper and electronic recordkeeping related to preventative and corrective maintenance and repair, tracks and closes assigned work orders; may monitor work orders assigned to others and assist them in managing work orders.
+ Assists management in determining training needs for seasonal work teams and assists in the training of less-skilled staff in facilities maintenance trades including safety procedures related to lodge operations.
+ Assists with tasks required in preparing to open and close lodges for winter operations, including winterization and snow and ice removal, systems and equipment checks, and start-up operations as assigned.
+ Operates carts and service vehicles; responsible for safe operation and reporting any observed maintenance needs or accidents.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
**_Requirements:_**
+ High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
+ One year of facilities maintenance, construction, or repair experience in a commercial or industrial setting.
+ Prior Supervisory experience a plus.
+ Valid Driver’s license for the operation of a motor vehicle with a clean driving record of the past three years. Must be willing to be part of our random alcohol and drug testing program.
+ Forklift driver certification is required within six months of employment, provided through the company.
+ Must be able to frequently bend, stand, kneel, climb ladders, reach below and above shoulders, and crawl.
+ Wrist, hand, and finger dexterity is required to operate various equipment and materials.
+ May need to stand/walk for long periods of time.
+ Must be comfortable to work in both the indoors and outdoors that could have exposure to various weather conditions including potentially hazardous conditions, noise, and temperature extremes.
+ Must be able to work beyond normal business hours, including a different shift. Weekend hours may be required occasionally to support business needs, projects, and/or operations.
+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Holland America Line/Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-1B status).
**_Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:_**
+ Maintains a broad knowledge of materials, systems, and code requirements related to maintenance of facilities.
+ Working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft programs to maintain logs, inventories and purchasing records; respond to service requests and emails; monitor and manage work orders.
+ The ability to lift 60 lbs./23 kg. and occasionally move up to 100 lbs. and work around equipment safely.
+ The ability to use and train others on a variety of tools and power equipment.
+ Track and plan preventative maintenance work while maintaining records in computerized and written formats, compliant with regulatory requirements.
+ The ability to effectively make arithmetic calculations quickly and accurately while working independently with minimal supervision.
+ Understand and follow oral and written directions.
+ The ability to support and comply with all company policies, procedures, guidelines, and safety standards, both at work and in housing.
+ The ability to clearly communicate, verbally and in writing, with all levels of employees, in order to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
