Job Description
Ensure the proper operation, maintenance, and utilities management of process support equipment, and site utilities at multiple locations. The Chief Operating Engineer must lead individuals and teams to provide high-level service delivery to the client.
ResponsibilitiesCoordinate activities for management of all site utilitiesEnsure all job responsibilities, reports, etc. are completed on timePrepare management scorecard informationServe as the single point communication with Utilities (Water, Natural Gas, Electricity)Prepare and monitor site utilities budgetPrepare and monitor project budget plansEnter all monthly utility readings into Automotive SystemApprove all monthly utility bills for paymentMonitor site electrical use using Energy OnStar, and compressed air using 'Air Technologies' websitesConduct Powerhouse labor relations activities with UAW LeadershipConduct all hiring interviews for Stationary EngineersPlan work schedule for overtime & vacation to support 24/7, 365 days Stationary Engineer operationsAdminister CFC/Refrigerant Tracking Data BaseProcure all material/parts requiredManage vendors in accordance with all Safety, and Environmental protocolsOrganize, plan, manage, and provide 'real-time' feedback to the Facility Manager during planned and unplanned utility shutdownsEssential SkillsMinimum of 5 years operation and maintenance experience5 – 10 years Facilities Management / SupervisionStrong written and verbal communication skillsExtensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access)Additional Skills & QualificationsBuilding Management SystemsUnderstanding of Chillers and Refrigerant Monitoring SystemsExperience with Gas Fired Steam Boilers / RO System / Water TreatmentKnowledge of Compressed Air / Instrument / ZeroFamiliarity with Preventative & Predictive MaintenanceDirect Reports: (9) UAW Represented Stationary Engineers for 24/7 operationWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
On-site at various locations including Auburn Hills, MI, Detroit, MI, Pontiac, MI, Rochester Hills, MI, Troy, MI, Waterford, MI, Lansing, MI, covering 16 buildings across 5 sites.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $48.00
