Micron is looking for experienced instrumentation and controls technicians to work in our new semiconductor fab we are building in Boise, Idaho. As an Instrumentation and Controls Technician at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of instrumentation and control systems on campus. This covers the main control system architecture, network, PLCs and remote I/O panels down to the equipment level, and coordination of work activities performed by contractors. SCADA is excluded. You will also be responsible for the maintenance and calibration of specific instrumentation including any required documentation. Other responsibilities include: **Follow all safety procedures, LOTO and NFPA 70E standards** **Able to work 12 hours shifts (3 on/4 off and 4 on/3 off), and rotate from days to nights every 4 months** **Able to understand P&ID drawings, one-line diagrams and the ability to troubleshoot faults and alarms** **Provide timely and detailed preventative maintenance on highly technical facilities equipment** **Provide effective and competent response to restore equipment to service as soon as possible, in the event of a system failure** **Identify and respond according to alarm conditions** **Provide effective and timely support to resolve equipment issues** **Identify and reduce equipment defects to improve quality and maximize system stability** **Maintain records on maintenance, testing and calibrations of equipment** **Education and Experience** **Required: 3 years industry experience** **Preferred: Valid electrical license, 5 years’ experience** As a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
