Facilities Coordinator

With the belief that they were there when we needed them, so we must be there now that they need us, Veterans Inc., the largest provider of supportive services to Veterans and their families in New England is seeking to fill the Facilities Coordinator position and become a valued member of the Veterans Inc. team!\n

This position is under the general supervision of the Operations Manager, and will assist the Facilities and Maintenance Team in completion of all maintenance tasks and the upkeep of the facilities, buildings, furnishings and properties for all programs throughout New England.\n

This position is based out of our Worcester, MA Headquarters, and requires travel to other programs throughout New England.\n

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY:\n\nPerform scheduled building improvements as identified by assigned supervisor and arrange for ongoing facility maintenance & repairs as requested.\nWork with the supervisor to develop plans to address the facility needs of all Veterans Inc housing programs.\nDetect and report the need for major maintenance repairs.\nAssist with upkeep and cleanliness of interior and exterior of company buildings. \nAssist with snow blowing, shoveling, and salting around buildings.\nCompletes facility renovations and special projects. Assists in preparation of plans and follows set schedule for facilities projects. Monitors progress on facilities maintenance projects and reports to the supervisor on progress.\nPerform repairs and\/or installs company machinery, equipment, or appliances.\nProvides information on facility maintenance problems and cyclical replacement items.\nPerforms manual labor and semi-skilled work in the maintenance of agency building facilities and grounds which include, but are not limited to, construction and repair of electrical, mechanical, masonry, carpentry, HVAC, the coordination, and preventive maintenance.\nResponsible for evaluating and handling building emergencies when they arise.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\n

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:\n\nTrade school or high school diploma graduate.\n2-5 years of general building repair and maintenance experience.\nCertificate in a trade program is preferred. \nMust have a valid driver's license.\nMust be available to work some weekend days\nMust be able to pass a CORI Background records check.\nCompliance with Veterans Inc. COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Religious and Medical Exemptions are considered.\n\n
