This position is responsible for maintaining all Broward House owned properties through supervision of Technician, implementation of maintenance schedule, responding to work orders and performing general HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, door hardware and general maintenance

In addition to other duties, this position will:

Prioritizing projects and tasks with staffing assignments.Provides direction and support to facilities staff with tasks and interactions with other staff and clientsMonitor, prioritizes and responds to Maintenance Helpdesk requestsImplements and tracks progress of routine maintenance schedules, while making suggestions for improvements.Monitor, prioritizes and responds to Maintenance Helpdesk requestsMonitors each property on a regular schedule, as directed by Facilities DirectorHVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, door hardware and general maintenanceCompletes necessary tasks related to contracted renovations and construction projectsMaintains inventory of Maintance related equipment and supplies. Monitors and responds to emergency facility requestsMaintain a professional courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees. Maintain orderliness, safety and cleanliness of properties.Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, State, and Federal guidelines.Perform duties as assigned during hurricanes, or other emergencies.Prompt completion and submission of all paperwork involved with maintenance functionsSpecial projects and other responsibilities may be determined.  

Skills/Requirements

This position requires at a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, and two years directly related experience.Valid Florida Drivers License and ongoing proof of insurance requiredHUD HQSProficiency in the use of standard power and hand toolsBasic math skills for measurement and computationHVAC preferredElectrical and flooring experience preferredAbility to read and comprehend assembly directionsModerate computer skillsBasic construction/maintenance knowledge

 

Important Notes:

 

Must pass all drug and background screening, including a level 2 federal background and motor vehicle screening.

 

Hours:  Full-time 40/hrs. including rotating holidays.
