Facilities Engineer Job ID 181871 Posted 23-Oct-2024 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Building Management, Engineering/Maintenance, Facilities Management Location(s) Indianapolis - Indiana - United States of America **About the role** To provide facilities engineering support of client Research Labs & technical support to maintenance shop at the Indianapolis Corporate Center. The Facility Engineer interacts with all levels of management, crafts, and scientific personnel. **What you’ll do** + Coordinate & communicate building system outages for preventative maintenance + Complete annual capital needs assessment based on knowledge of building systems + Complete annual Asset Count + Provide oversight of both building equipment & preventative maintenance tasks ensuring reliability + Participate in all client HSE objectives as directed + Ownership of CAD drawings for buildings + Coordinate small scale projects with LRL scientists as requested + Benchmark & present new facilities technology as feasible for consideration + Attend Capital Project meetings related to your buildings and provide technical guidance + Buildings Systems include, but not limited to: Air handlers & exhaust fans, Fume & bio hoods, Safety showers & eye washes, Chilled beams, Vacuum systems, Steam PRV’s, Potable water pumps, Heating hot water, Condensate recovery systems, Electrical sub-stations, Sanitary & storm sewers, Fire protection, and General infrastructure (exterior included). **What you’ll need** + Bachelors or equivalent experience in Engineering (mechanical or electrical preferred) from an ABET accredited university and a minimum of three years of experience in facilities management. + Demonstrated experience and knowledge of laboratory building systems, maintenance, and utilities.
