The RoleAs the company continues to grow, we are seeking a Facilities Engineer to provide support of the facility equipment and supporting systems to efficiently maintain and reliably operate the site. The position will provide support of maintenance staffing services, assessment and control of performance metrics, and attainment of cost objectives in daily maintenance and operation of all facility assets. Supporting systems include maintenance work management, building control, quality, procurement, training, and all associated supporting procedures. Position is to continuously assess general condition and readiness of critical assets required to deliver business priorities without interruption. Position has overall responsibility for all infrastructure and staffing capability to ensure reliable and efficient facility operations. Deliver high quality, safe, compliant, cost effective facilities infrastructure.
This position is in Raritan NJ.
The Responsibilities
Assist with contract service relationships, delivery and performance of facility maintenance to manage cost, operating efficiencies, staffing, training, GMP quality adherence, customer satisfaction, and reliability objectives.
Assist with delivery of annual budget, budget attainment, quality objectives, and maintenance schedule performance.
Assist with facility asset and general conditions to ensure audit readiness and provides direct support of internal/external audits.
Assist in organizing a high performance and continuous improvement culture, driven by establishing clear expectations of service providers performance metrics and routinely reviewing with service providers.
Assist with facility operations and maintenance expense budget working closely with Finance and functional leadership to ensure alignment and delivery of cost goals.
Assists with software applications, service contracts, and supporting procedures of the facility asset maintenance (CMMS) and Building Automation Systems to drive standard work and continuous improvement processes in leveraging of system applications
Leads with their supervisor maintenance planning and scheduling in optimizing preventive maintenance job instruction content and maintenance processes to reduce cost and improve overall operating reliability.
Responsible for coordination of all maintenance interventions.
Assists with facility maintenance capital planning to provide annual facility infrastructure capital recommendations and justifications based on asset performance, associated life-cycle costs, and opportunities for incremental operating/cost improvements.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
The Individual
Required:
BS in Engineering.
1-2 years experience including but not limited to Facilities Site Service Maintenance Management or utility operations.
Experience in GMP compliance and delivering requirements highly desirable
Practical experience in facility work management and automation systems preferred
Experience in managing one or more of the following; HVAC, electrical, steam, and chilled water systems
2 years’ experience in project management experience in one or more of the following areas, facility operations, contracted maintenance services or contract management
Travel up to 10%
Preferred
MS/PE Mechanical/Electrical.
Experience in GMP compliance and delivering requirements.
Practical experience in facility work management and automation systems.

Needs to be mobile and able to independently transport themselves between various sites/locations, as dictated by the essential functions and responsibilities of the position.

Must pass vision acuity test for inspection of work in process and finished goods
