Description:
You will be the Facilities Engineer for the Missiles and Fire Control team in Ocala. Our team is responsible for planning and implementing construction projects at the Ocala facility.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Facilities Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.
• Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.
• Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition. Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
• Inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Facilities), Architecture, Construction Management, or Related Field.
• (2)+ years of Professional Experience. Considered Experienced, but still a learner. Construction Experienced Preferred but not Required.
• Due to facility requirements, all candidates must be U.S. citizens
• Facilities or maintenance experience is preferred but not required.
Desired Skills:
• Able to work independently under general supervision. Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgement and overall adequacy.
• Knowledge of general construction techniques and procedures.
• Familiarity with Florida Building Code(s).
• Serve as Project Manager and/or Contribute to Team Efforts to Meet Project Milestones. Provide solution to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
• Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD experience preferred.
• Able to coordinate and communicate with team, support, customers, management, and contactors on all levels.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
