We are seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Engineer with expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems as well as general handyman skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving the operational functionality and safety of our facilities. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage and execute maintenance tasks, troubleshoot, and resolve issues, and ensure the smooth operation of all facility systems.

Key Responsibilities:
 

MEP Systems Management:

Oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of all MEP systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on MEP systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with MEP systems and implement effective solutions promptly.General Handyman Duties:Perform general maintenance and repairs across the facility, including but not limited to carpentry, painting, and basic repairs.Respond to maintenance requests and complete work orders in a timely and efficient manner.Assist with setup and breakdown of events and meetings as needed.Facility Operations:Ensure all building systems operate efficiently and reliably.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and service schedules.Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and projects.

Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees and visitors.Conduct safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.Keep abreast of industry best practices and regulatory changes to ensure compliance.


Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management, with specific experience in MEP systems.Proven handyman skills with experience in general building maintenance and repairs.Strong understanding of building systems, safety codes, and regulations.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency with maintenance management software and tools.Familiar with building management systems.Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).Capability to work in various environments, including heights and confined spaces.Availability to respond to emergency situations outside of regular working hours.
