The ideal candidate will have a solid background in facilities management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in a tire plant or similar heavy industry. They should possess expertise in maintaining and optimizing plant infrastructure, including HVAC, cranes, lifting tools, powered vehicles (forklift, nacelles, ameis), piping (air, steam, water) and mechanical systems. Strong experience with preventive maintenance programs, energy management, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations is required. A proven track record of managing facility and/or mechanical projects, from small repairs to large-scale upgrades, is essential. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, and cost-efficiency initiatives is a plus. The candidate should be skilled in cross-functional collaboration, problem-solving, and have a hands-on approach to equipment troubleshooting and repairs with a clear vision to digitalize the Facilities Management System.
Responsibilities:
Maintain the building and facilities of Luxembourg Tire Plant - with the exception of the Power Generation and distribution. Manage powered transportation equipment. With an agreed body to execute the legally required controls of the powered transportation equipment and ensures the corrective actions will be done in the allocated time frame. Manage contracts of all powered transportation equipment of Luxtire. Manage resources to ensure the proper design, installation, modification, and maintainability of new and existing plant equipment, buildings and facilities. Manage, track and analyze engineering expense and capital budgeting to ensure compliance and lead facility management supplier activities. Manage lifting tools and equipment according the Goodyear CTI's and Luxembourgish/EU laws, Track and optimze cost expenditure for each BCUs. Ensure all safety, environmental and other required regulatory compliances are followed in facilities. Consult experts if necessary. Areas/systems in scope: Heating and ventilation system, as well as air conditioning system, Lockers, locker rooms, shower rooms, sanitary installation, Canteen equipment, parkings of Luxembourg Tire Plan; Building and roof, rainwater collection and sewer system, doors, docks and key system. Education:
Minimum Bachelor Degree in Technical/Science/facilities major or Engineering Knowledge & Skills: Requires the ability to direct cross-functional work groups to achieve operational and facility equipment objectives, goals and timelines. Basic understanding of HVAC, plumbing, crane, PIVs, and other related facilities equipment. Strong technical background. Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills. Efficiency in using Microsoft 365 and Computer tools. Experience in problem solving techniques a plus: DMAIC, A3. Must be able to communicate in English and French. Luxembourgish and German is an asset. Experience with Plant Optimization/Operational Excellence a plus.
