The Facilities Engineer is responsible for the design, planning, construction, and maintenance of equipment. Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials, and other related costs. Additionally, the Engineer ensures compliance with applicable codes, requisitions, and government agencies directives related to facility operations. Essential Duties: Support design and installation of various facility utility improvements for mechanical, process, chemical, electrical, architectural, and structural systems. Schedule and cost management of design and construction projects assigned Support facility design for construction and updates for operational and energy efficiencies Conduct routine, ongoing assessments of the facility system performance and operations Perform tests and rounds and analyzing the building environment and data to assure the proper function of equipment Ensure energy efficient operations of all facility systems assigned Assistand schedule new construction, preventive maintenance, contract maintenance, and general maintenance with minimum disruption of building services Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and utilization of protective equipment by contracted entities Maintain ongoing communication with vendors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders Assist and update and/or maintain as-built drawings Respond rapidly to emergency situations (fire, evacuation, equipment failure, customer escalations Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, requisitions, and government agency directives related to facility operations and assigned projects Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements: + To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a requirement for some roles at PENA and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator. Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred Education: + Basic/Required: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering in related field, (or equivalent work experience). Essential Qualifications: + 0 to 2+ years of hands-on experience in operation/engineering of mission critical facilities and infrastructure (mechanical, process, chemical, electrical, architectural, and structural systems + Proficiency with PDF Editing Software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word + Effectively communicate and interact in a manner that is professional and clear to all levels of fellow team members, customers, and other parties + Respond effectively, verbally, and in writing to sensitive issues, complex inquiries, or complaints + A high level of commitment to customer service to both coworkers and clients + Being approachable and adaptable. Must be comfortable communicating and troubleshooting with all levels of the organizationMust have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
