The Electro Optical Infrared Systems (EOIS) line of business within DRS has locations in Dallas and Austin, TX, Melbourne, FL, and Cypress, CA. EOIS develops, manufactures, and supports infrared and electro-optical solutions for soldiers, ground vehicles and airborne platforms. Job Responsibilities Responsible for specific technical activity and completion of assigned tasks on time and budget related to the facility including design, construction, and maintenance projects Use computer-aided engineering (AutoCAD) or other design/analysis software in the performance of assignments Manage and drive projects of small to medium size and complexity Regular reporting of progress and status Complete of assigned task on time and meeting technical requirements Review customer specifications and requirements, and under direction, develop designs to best support them, including cost, schedule, and quality as key design variables Provide budget, cost and schedule input for assignments Troubleshoot Facility equipment Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred in electrical or mechanical engineering. Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD clearance which requires US Citizenship. 2+ years of experience in facilities management/engineering Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Project experience needed Experience managing and driving projects against company KPIs Knowledge of HVAC systems and/or Clean Room Support Systems (such as Gas and Electrical systems)***U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.***
