As a member of the project Infrastructure Engineering team ensures high quality standards and customer satisfaction, specifically, Mechanical, Electrical and Fire & Life Safety Engineering. This role provides technical expertise for maintenance/renovation of existing facilities and new construction across a worldwide portfolio. There will be opportunities for interaction with a wide variety of projects and stakeholders.
**A caregiver in this position works days, 8:00am-5:00pm.**
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Support the organization as an engineer in area of expertise.
+ Provide multi-disciplinary engineering consultation to internal and external stakeholders regarding facility repair projects and new construction projects to support the Cleveland Clinic enterprise at all stages of design and construction.
+ Stakeholders include Internal architects and space planners, owner's representatives, facility managers, end users, and third-party consultants.
+ Perform engineering consultation and troubleshooting for existing buildings and systems including recommending repairs and improvements and development of conceptual designs of that work.
+ Perform engineering studies and assessments at direction of Director of Engineering or designated Facility Engineer III.
+ Prepare reports and deliver presentations at direction of Director of Engineering or designated Facility Engineer III.
+ Assist in evaluations of planned facility acquisitions for infrastructure operation and maintenance issues.
+ Provide engineering support in the disposal of buildings and systems.
+ Assist in development of and compliance with project budgets including project development labor, construction estimates and operational costs.
+ Prepare construction documents in their area of expertise for small renovations.
+ Assist in selection of third-party design consultants.
+ Perform reviews of third-party design documents to ensure adherence to project scope and Cleveland Clinic engineering standards.
+ Assist in other projects and initiatives within the work group as assigned by the Director of Engineering.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering from ABET Accredited Institution.
+ Successful completion of the 8-hour Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) training required within six months of hire.
+ 4 years design and/or operation experience with industrial, commercial, or institutional facilities.
+ Can read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
+ AutoCAD and Revit proficient.
+ Microsoft office proficient, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Professional Engineer (PE) through the Ohio State Board of Engineers and Surveyors.
+ Ability to gain licensure in the state of Florida.
+ Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) certification through the American Hospital Association.
+ 2 years of Health Care design and/or operations experience or Project Management experience including coordinating maintenance, renovation, and construction projects.
+ Prior experience with medical gas requirements, ASHRAE standards and health care fire and life safety codes and regulations.

**Personal Protective Equipment:**
+ As required when in appropriate locations or on construction sites.
Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $30.41
Maximum hourly: $46.38
The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
