TEAM OVERVIEW:
The Global Workplace and Infrastructure (GWI) team at Applied Materials is responsible for all facilities, from acquisition through operation to disposition. We provide the infrastructure that enables our industry-leading research and development, as well as the offices and amenities for our amazing employees worldwide. The scope of our function includes:
Real Estate: Site selection, buy vs. lease decisions, commercial and legal negotiationsDesign and Construction: Engineering, architectural, cost and schedule management, construction executionOperations: Facility management and employee servicesThis Santa Clara, CA based position is designed to provide the candidate broad exposure to the company and GWI during the first year, positioning them to subsequently take a more specific role within our growing GWI function.
GWI is a global team. Our team members are expected to be willing to travel up to 20% and virtually support all global time zones.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Learn how we establish and operate R&D facilities and workplaces for 40k employees at hundreds of sites in multiple countries.Gain experience on the skillsets required to operate one of the leading-edge R&D fabrication facilities in the industry, equipped with many of the toolsets required to process the leading technology for the industry.Work amongst the technologists and subject matter experts in the semiconductor field to enable the tooling and infrastructure requirements to meet the next generation technology requirements.Support global facility expansion that will enable ~50% growth to more than 50k employees over the next five years.Learn the digital tools that are currently in use at Applied to assist in planning, design and layout for various infrastructure types.Exposure to the operational processes required to coordinate the complex activities required to ensure successful completion of projects related to the installation, modification and/or facilities infrastructure requirements.Understand how to optimize design and footprint of facilities and services to align with enduring hybrid working patterns.Learning how Applied collects business unit space needs and facilities requirements and initiates searches for and eventually acquires suitable land/facilities to support business needs.TECHNICAL SKILLS:

$69,000.00 - $92,500.00The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
