We are currently seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Facilities Engineer Supervisor to join our team:
Location: Juncos, Puerto Rico. Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Work model: On site.Contract Type: Indefinite-term / Regular.This role is responsible for managing building operations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Acting as the liaison between Facilities and Engineering and the Functional Area, this role coordinates maintenance, addresses escalations, and supervises HVAC and mechanical technicians. Key duties include overseeing building systems, managing access, and planning preventive maintenance, requiring strong technical and communication skills.
What is your day to day?
Lead a team of 6-8 maintenance technicians, supervising HVAC and mechanical core services.Act as the liaison between Facilities and Engineering (F&E) and the building's Functional Area, managing escalations and communication.Oversee building operations, ensuring optimal functionality and compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.Serve as the System Owner in Maximo, coordinating maintenance activities and supporting continuous improvement projects.Manage building access, preventative maintenance, and small projects to align with building strategy.Ensure the facility meets housekeeping and upkeep standards, conducting zone inspections and maintaining architectural finishes.Plan and execute repairs, manage equipment replacement, and support capital project execution.Ensure GMP compliance by following approved procedures, documenting activities, and assessing risks.Apply technical and project management expertise to resolve project issues, manage budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance.Provide engineering support for capital improvement projects, reviewing designs, and ensuring projects meet code and company requirements.Required:
BA/BS in mechanical engineering, or other related engineering degrees.5-10 years’ experience working in the mechanical engineering discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Demonstrated proficiency in engineering, design, operation, and/or maintenance of HVAC and industrial central utility systems, including purified water (RO/DI), steam, chilled water, and compressed gases.Experience and knowledge of ASME, ASHRAE & NFPA requirements for compliance and system analysis.Direct experience with regulated environments (e.g. GMP, OSHA, EPA, etc.)Knowledge of programming, installation, start-up, troubleshooting, and repair of automation control systems is a plus.Skills desired:
Ability to work with multiple teams consisting of operational staff, client stakeholders, project managers, external engineers and architects, vendors, and subcontractors.Ability to train and coach operations teams to work with and operate mechanical systems.Ability to diagnose, repair, and return mechanical systems back to efficient operation.Ability to perform field work and troubleshoot mechanical devices.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.EIT or PE is a plus.Location:
