Badger Meter is hiring a Facilities Engineering Intern.  The Facilities Engineering intern is responsible for assisting with the support of the general operations of Badger Meter's sites as it relates to buildings, grounds, infrastructure and manufacturing equipment. The scope of work is varied an may include updating and creating plant drawings, utilizing our asset management system, working with Microsoft Office tools, and utilizing other facility related systems.  Work is a combination of desk/computer work and hands on work in the shop floor or office areas.  This position will also support Badger Meter's sustainability initiatives. The Facilities Engineering Intern will work with other functional teams in our Safety First and Continuous Improvement environment.  

Essential Job Duties:

Performing updates to Facilities infrastructure, HVAC systems, utilities, machine, and equipment layouts in AutoCAD  

Perform reconciliation between the electronic Auto CAD/PDF scanned version with the archived paper copies  

Perform layouts for proposed building/equipment changes  

Become familiar with and apply Badger Meter safety policies and practices in all areas of work.  

Create written procedures in facilities related areas that to create robust processes.  

Utilize asset management system to create preventative maintenance procedures.  

Assist and support facilities and maintenance teams in various capital investment projects.  

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field

sophomores/juniors preferred

No prior experience needed

Intermediate computer/technical skills in Microsoft products

Basic understanding of Auto CAD or other CAD packages

Ability to work independently with some supervision

Working Conditions:

Depending on the assigned department, must complete an audiogram test
