The Mission Solutions Business Area at Leidos has an opening for a Facilities Engineer in Reston, Virginia. The primary focus of the group is reverse engineering Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) related facilities.  Candidate must bring a creative, yet sound, approach to identifying and solving challenges where all the information desired is inherently unavailable and have exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to thoroughness. The successful candidate will work as a member of an interdisciplinary team of government and contractor personnel. Work will be performed in a fast-paced, high-energy environment within a government facility.

Role and Responsibility:

The candidate shall perform the following as part of a characterization team:

Systematically integrate all-source intelligence, geotechnical data, topographical data, and facility design and maintenance principles and best practices to describe WMD facility function (mission) and physical configuration, including layout, physical structure, mission systems, support systems, 3D model and corresponding potential vulnerabilitiesProvide practical “hands-on” guidance and judgment on facility infrastructure specification and installation throughout the characterization process to produce accurate intelligence estimatesWritten and verbal communication skills with the ability to successfully brief and interact with personnel at all levels of experience, including Senior Officials

Requirements and Qualifications:

US Citizenship is requiredCandidate must possess an active TS/SCI, or a Top Secret clearance with a current SSBI, and be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI w/ poly level clearanceHigh school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of prior relevant experienceExperience with the specification, installation, maintenance, and operation of HVAC, electric power, security, and building management systems or industrial control systemsExperience with sequence of operations for various utility equipment, OEM Manuals, P&IDs, and electrical and HVAC schematicsExperience reading digital and hard copy design documentsExperience with applicable building codes

Preferred Qualifications:

Facility planning experience including servicing and installing utilities equipment within industrial environmentsExperience with Autodesk Revit, Autodesk AutoCAD, or Building Information Modeling (BIM) software and practicesMilitary or defense-related experienceConstruction of commercial, government, or industrial facilities experienceWorking knowledge of protective engineering or physical force protection measuresOriginal Posting Date:2025-01-09

Pay Range:Pay Range $57,850.00 - $104,575.00
