The Facilities and Fleet Assistant is responsible for supporting both the facility maintenance and fleet operations of the company. This role combines preventative maintenance, repair work, and general facilities upkeep to ensure that both the company’s vehicles and facilities are in optimal condition. The Facilities and Fleet Assistant will work closely with the Fleet & Facilities Manager, District Construction Manager, and  outside vendors to coordinate repair and maintenance activities, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Facilities Maintenance:

Perform basic handyman tasks including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs.Coordinate cleaning tasks and scheduled cleaning services to maintain a clean and safe work environment.Monitor and document cleaning activities, especially in cleanroom environments.Coordinate with outside vendors for the maintenance and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other essential systems.Implement maintenance schedule for in house equipment at facilities based nationwideManage general facility supplies and ensure they are adequately stocked.Assist in the moving, assembly, and layout of office and production areas as required.Performs other duties as requestedAbility to travel to additional sitesOvernight stays for facilities and fleet repairs, (planned yearly, possible quick response.)Work with other departments, managers and executives in a professional manner to achieve task at hand.

 

 

Fleet Maintenance:

Perform preventative maintenance on company vehicles and equipment, including oil changes, filter changes, and operational tests.Repair equipment such as directional drills, trenchers, plows, air compressors, trailers, vans, and trucks.Conduct DOT vehicle inspections in collaboration with employee drivers.Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and resolve mechanical issues.Schedule and prioritize repair work with the Fleet Manager and District Construction Manager to minimize disruption to field operations.Pick up parts as needed for repairs and maintenance tasks.Performs other duties as requested

 

Safety and Compliance:

Perform all duties in accordance with established safety procedures.Assist in the implementation of safety controls and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.

 

 

 

Required Qualifications: 

Minimum of 2 years in a mechanic or facilities maintenance position.Previous experience with construction equipment and fleet vehicles.CDL preferred; must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.Experience with operating cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, buffers, and carpet shampooers.Must be able to pass a physical and drug test.

 

 

 

 

Desired Qualifications:

Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical and facility-related issues.Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.Knowledge of equipment with air brakes.Basic understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.Ability to work with and manage multiple vendors.Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.Welding or fabrication skills preferred.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Physical Requirements: 

The successful candidate will be able to perform the following with or without reasonable accommodation: 

Ability to lift 70+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.Must be able to walk, stoop, kneel, bend, crawl, and move through job sites.Ability to work in confined spaces and be active for 10+ hours per day.Ability to sit for prolonged periods for facility-related tasks.Must be able to travel between local facilities as needed.

 

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this position is: $20.00-$28.00

 

Actual base pay for this job will depend on the candidate's primary work location and other factors, such as relevant skills and experience. Pavlov Media is committed to complying with the Equal Pay Act and places a strong emphasis on internal equity when determining compensation. Final pay will be determined based on the candidate’s skills, experience, and alignment with our internal equity standards, ensuring fairness and consistency across the organization. The salary banding for this role also allows room for growth, with opportunities for pay increases within the band based on performance and contributions.
